malaysian...

I am only a 19 years old guy who is born in this country and to be honest I am proud to mention that I am a MALAYSIAN from Malaysia. Not a MALAYSIAN-CHINESE as most would like to mention their race or color. What I am about to write in this blog doesn't mean I am not patriotic but just to share my views as blogs is consider an avenue where freedom of speech is still very much alive.

I love this country and growing up in this country as a Malaysian. However, it saddens me more and more each time I see all these equity and 'status' keeps popping up in the papers countless of time each year. I believe everyone works hard and the government is trying its best to be fair to everyone. However, each year as I grow older, I can't help it but surely feel that my dissatisfaction is growing towards these status. No matter how hard I try to put all this away.. there is always the question popping up behind my head "Why must there be any enforcement for equity shares for a certain people while the rest have to fight to get it?"

I am young and I can see this country have its potential to grow.. but given this thought... if the other parties who doesn't enjoy the status of being a MALAYSIAN, why should they be bothered to keep all their hard earn money from their businesses in a country where she still practice "ENFORCE EQUITY SHARING" ? I don't know how long will it takes and how many more dissatisfaction citizens does it take for the people in the government to realise that its time to move on and let the people who works hard, reap their benefits and those who are lazy and just borrowing their name as sleeping partners to get a wake up call to either get their work done or just be left out.

I have friends all over the world and I see nothing different. We aren't any dumber than any of them from other countries. We can grow at exponent rates but due to 'restrictions and enforcement of certain so-called policies', we are being held back and reservations of confidence is definitely there but not much. Look at Singapore, people say they marginalize a certain quarter, but I do not think so. I have friends who have equal chance and opportunity in Singapore eventhough they are not chinese. Everyone is born to have the right to their religion and they can't help it if they are born as malays, chinese, indians or even mix parentage. Why divide them instead of concentrating to harness they strengths and making them realise that with cooperation together, we will grow in strengths.

Its up to here that I wish to voice out. Hopefully things will one day be realise that time have change and so does today's generation. Or we will always be this way.

Yours truly,
